Miles community college

Miles community college could be a community college in Miles town, Montana.The College was based in 1939. for pretty much twenty years it operated out of a couple of rooms within the native public highschool. In 1957, MCC emotional into the previous city Railroad Depot building.

In June 1967, the school emotional into a replacement building that was created once passage of a bond issued by their voters. 4 April at 1970, voters of the district electoral the primary freelance board of trustees for the school. In Dec 1971, Miles community college was granted certification by the Northwest Commission on faculties and Universities.

During academic year 1971-72, a replacement centre was created. A grant of $1.5 million from the Montana Coal Board in 1977 enabled the school to construct a replacement line of work building and a library learning resource center schoolroom addition. Construction of a education complicated was completed in Gregorian calendar month 1980. In August 1997, four new dormitory buildings were extra to the coed housing complex; and in Oct 2003, the college completed a replacement $2.3 million dormitory.

MCC presently has five varsity sports; convenience and Women\'s Basketball, Baseball, Golf and Rodeo. The Baseball program has won thirteen straight conference titles beneath former Head Coach Rob Bishop and current Head Coach Jeff Brabant, geological dating back to the re-introduction of the game to the varsity within the 2001 season.

On May 4, 2009, the board of trustees voted 6-0 in favor of discontinuing the volleyball program once an exploration for a head coach turned up no qualified candidates
